Quality Manager

Infinity Employment are looking for a Quality Manager for a permanent Monday – Friday , 08.00 – 16.00 contract with our Engineering specialist client based in Leicester.

Role Purpose:

Manage a team within a faced paced environment and help to maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.

To Manage performance reviews of the team and oversee inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts and components used in the manufacture of products, partially assembled or finished.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Approve incoming materials confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Approve in-process production confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
• Approve finished products confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
• Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
• Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;

Experience:

Essential:-

• Inspection experience in a high precision engineering environment: aerospace, precision engineering or automotive
• Experience of working to ISO9001.
• Micrometers, verniers, height gauges,
• Read customer drawings and understands the importance of accurate measurements

Desirable:-

• Gained Inspection experience in a fast moving high precision environment: aerospace, precision engineering or automotive CMM would be advantage

Personal Protective Equipment:

In order to perform the duties as safely as possible, the candidate will be required to adhere to Company H&S and use the following PPE:

• Overalls
• Safety glasses
• Safety shoes
• Ear protection / hand gloves and masks if required

Between £35,000 = £38,000 depending on experience

Salary: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
